F-15C & E
F-15C & E
The McDonnell-Douglas F-15 Eagle is a long-range air superiority fighter. It was the culmination of the F-X program, a plan to replace the F-4 Phantom II, from 1964. The discovery of the MiG-25 in the late 1960s influenced the F-15’s focus on air superiority. McDonnell Douglas’ design won over North American, Fairchild-Hiller, and General Dynamics’ designs in the technical, operational, logistical, and management areas. The F-15 entered service in 1976, and it continues to serve the United States and its allies in air-to-air and air-to-ground roles.
The Gunship IV's F-15C is in its Multi-Stage Improvement Program (MSIP) configuration. This upgrade program added a multi-function display, AMRAAM compatibility, and improved self-defense capability.
The F-15E will also be available in a future update. Pledgers who pre-order the F-15C will be able to get the F-15E at no additional cost.
